i've never heard a slayer cover that matches, let alone outdoes the original. certainly there are some good ones out there (incantation's hell awaits comes to mind but i could be way off, been several years since i've actually listened to it), but they are definitely not performed by vader.



listening to vader covering anything, literally anything, is precisely as evocative as listening to a midi transcription of the original. sure, the notes are correct and the rhythm is mostly there, but it's so mechanized and forced that it loses any power it may have possessed in its un-fucked-with form.

Slayers originals cannae be fucked with.



With any degree of success, that is.
