That Seven Nation Army song, though ridiculously overplayed, isn't really that bad to my ears and there are times that I do enjoy said song.

I kinda feel a bit sorry for acts like this, they have some decent nay great ideas and material but the media hype wagon pipes the tunes nonstop into shops, cars, adverts, tv shows until you want to build a time machine, go back and render thier parents dead.

It's one of my favourite bands.

see, i always knew their name but never listened to them until like last summer, so i avoided all the overplay and overexposure and such like

Yes you could lock yourself in a cellar, and have people with masks wordlessly pass you food and collect your exctreta through a hermetically sealed hatch. that would do it.

if you wanted to be an idiot about it, sure. or you could not pay much attention to commercials on the television & the "ambient" music in a store and then years later go "i really should check out these white stripes fellows, as i haven't heard much of their material yet"
