i think ITP would be a much stronger album if chuck could've just given up on doing vocals. this is where he started to get seriously bad, from what i remember the lyrics started going downhill in a major way as well. i think there are a lot of nice and enjoyable musical bits in here, but on the whole, i don't find that it's consistent. a lot of the songs are just disjointed and aimless (in human form being the worst offender from memory, but its been several years since i've listened to the album) which to me comes across as pointless showmanship.
