similarities between bands

I sometimes think about the similarities between bands while im travelling, heres an example
the beatles and metallica:
1)first off, both names of the bands descripe the music the initially played
2)Later both drifted away from said style
3)only to revisit it later with mixed results
4)the beatles most commercially sucessful album is the white one, metallica black album is theirs.
5)both fired a member who later antagonized them in the press (pete best, Dave mustain)
6)Their success in the mainstream charts can be attributed to a producer( george martin, bob rock)
7)Metallica lost their original bassplayer in a driving accident
8)Many people believe that the original Paul mccartney died in a car accident and was then replaced with a look a like
9)The beatles best work (i.m.o) was written in their drug period
10)Alchoholica
11)Both bands drummers are regarded by many people as either the worst or the best in the world.
