THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and WHITECHAPEL will headline this year's installment of the "Summer Slaughter Tour", which will run from July 21 through August 21. The fifth annual travelling festival will feature additional performances by such heavyweights as DARKEST HOUR, SIX FEET UNDER, DYING FETUS, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, OCEANO, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, as well as a special halftime appearance by POWERGLOVE. However, the madness doesn't stop there as for the first time in Summer Slaughter history the fans voted on the band that will open the tour.

i've seen dying fetus on the summer slaughter tour for the last two years but this will probably be the first one i miss

Dying Fetus, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Powerglove would make a good show.

what i don't get about powerglove is, alright, they're a novelty band that does heavy metal covers of videogame tunes. that's all well and fine (we'll leave aside that minibosses did it earlier and better, although you have to drop the 'heavy metal' qualifier for that statement to work)



so why in the fuck did they cover holy orders from guilty gear? it's already goddamned metal. the whole fucking soundtrack is! they basically took the original, said 'ok let's play the guitar parts all wrong and just change the drumming a little.'
