when threads come up about drummers, the people who are posted are these super technical beast of drummers with inhuman skills. sometimes just simple drumming brings more soul

with one or two exceptions none of the stuff on metallica's classic albums is particularly tricky or even difficult. they all fit the parameters of this thread i reckon
lars back in the day was a solid drummer

hell yeah. frost is actually fun to watch. I don't know why the drumming is nothing complex but he just does it, really, really well.

I have a thing for caveman drumming ala Morbid Visions era Sepultura. ...if that counts. And of course Doom Metal...but specifically, the cold, bleak drumming on Winter.
