I gotta give it to B. Personally, I still think it's their most mysterious and atmospheric album and I love its overall stoic approach compared to the other albums and it's still fruital as fuck. BATS.

Me too!!
Exactly! with the new album coming out, I'm comparing the last stuff they've done to see where it could go from there.

Morbid Angel is a mystery, just as the things of that they speak.
I, personally, do not know what to expect from Morbid this time. because i started listening to them after the Heretic album only about two years before now.
But I have a feeling that it will be sooooooooooo hardcore. And I do not say that lightly.

the craziest breakdown solo of Trey on Gateways, is in God of the Forsaken... it's so fucking crazy and weird, I love that part! (Erik's solo there sends shivers every time as well!)

Last two weeks about, I have listen lot of Heretic. Many people says that H is quite bad, but I disagree. There is a couple of weaker tracks, but as a whole it is a good album.
Then there is A and B, I listen these albums fairly regularly.

The tone is definitely key there, so good ear Zim
But yea, a cool memory: when we (DR) recorded our 2000 promo with Erik, we were at one point driving in a car together for eats and we started talking about Gateways with him - it was released that year. One of the surprising things was that tidbit; that, that solo is Erik. It was interesting because Erik was really enthusiastic about it since it was more or less an attempt at something unorthodox for him. That whole trip was good times man

awesome! the tone is indeed off from Trey's (usual) sound, but I always thought Trey just threw that in there.
