I have two, both are bothered by algae. I can't keep any plants alive for more than three months. Maybe it's because I have goldies in them, messy little animals.

Which fish are you getting?

Some day when I have the chance I want pygmy corydoras Image <3

I'll take a picture of mine when I can be bothered to clean it :redneck: desperately needs done...

I don't have many fish, for some reason whenever I get a little shoal of small fish they end up all dying bar for 1-2.

I have 2 black neon tetras, 3 odessa barbs, 1 cardinal tetra (this little hard-on bearer has survived 2 epidemics), 2 penguins, 1 albino bristlenose (male), 1 clown loach, 1 rainbow shark (female)

Rainbow and bristlenose are my fav's. Rainbow can be a bitch though, chasing the little guys around.

wow there are not much plants in your 450 ninny

do you got regular algae like this thread algae: <!-- m -->http://www.zierfischforum.at/algenhilfe/fadenalge.jpg<!-- m --> ?

or more like nasty blue algae? maybe you know this already but there are some ways to avoid algae like:

less light, no direct sunlight, snails, amano shrimps

i added a noon break in my timeclock setup that means no light from 12 to 15

so the ligth is on from 9-12 and from 15-23 thats much but the little break has a huge effect on algae but not on

your other plants or fishes...
