I never got around to reading ClanDestine - which is a shame. It's Davis's best work after Excalibur, I'm told.

excal used to have its niche back when people actually used paladins (because they sucked and didn't know how to use/gear/support damage tanks), but even then it was pretty lackluster considering the investment required to obtain one. not the worst relic weapon, but it was never really good either.
