72 guitar tracks is possible - I've recorded about 72 guitar tracks with a hard rock band, per song for a few songs that is, but they had a lot of their chords built up from separate harmonies and chord arrangements.
Can't wait to hear the song he's talking about then

I am the Dragon. And you call me insane. You are privy to a great becoming, but you recognize nothing. To me, you are a slug in the sun. You are an ant in the afterbirth. It is your nature to do one thing correctly: Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe.

Anyone know what ever happened to the whole Dean Astro-X and X-core guitars they said they'd make?

I think, never really said they would make them. Trey said the following:
For anyone who is interested in having a Dean Astro-X Star just swing on over to Dean Guitars and spam them with requests
And it was completely badmouthed on many guitar forums.

On almost every aspect...
Being a bolt-on, hardware choice, shape(s) scale-length and color.
That said, if his star came in production i would buy it if it came without the graphics.

It said; something along the lines of " you can't get one yet but do stay tuned" or some shit like that on the dean website but definitely I would buy the star shaped one.
