Love Of Lava

Post by LAVAGOD »

Does anyone have a original copy of this on CD with the autographed pick from Trey?

Also does anyone have a download of the entire album including the solos from domination that they can put a link to? :xx:

I have this. It came with a later version of FFttF. The pick isn't actually autographed by him. It's a Chewer pick with his autograph stamped on one side and the Chewer fish on the other. I can't presently find mine, but I still have and play with the pick I got at the last MA show I went to.

It's called a limited edition, but Amazon still has copies even now. I'm not convinced its limit is very low at all :redneck:

I have the download from MA website but it doesn't have all the solos from FFF or domination. And plus the normal one had like 3 different versions of each solo. Plan on doing a nothing is not cover with the solo!

If I were to cover a Morbid Angel song, I wouldn't attempt to do the solo exactly as Trey does. I would do it in the same spirit -- approximate where to go then improvise the rest by feeling.

Who said I was gonna do exactly what Trey does? ( well I guess I will when I play the cover) but yeah I know what you mean. I will do that but maybe put it as a separate vid

I'm gonna do summoning redemption soon too. Eriks solo is really fun and easy. Treys is a little complex. He's got some strange tapping patterns that I've never seen before. But for the most part it's pretty strait forward. But does anyone have the full download of LOL with all the alternates and all the solos from FFF and D?

Buy it. It's only like $13 or $14 on Amazon. Plus you get a cool pick.

Yeah but be careful, the USA version only had stuff from Formulas, I think due to Giant controlling the songs in the USA. Domination I think was released by Earache in Europe, so the Euro version has everything (i.e. songs from Domination as well as Formulas).

I have both versions...I'm not 100% sure where the Euro one is, but I can rip it if I find it.

EDIT: I found the CD. Here you go:

Yes, the European version has the Love of Lava disc with also solo's from Domination. Which is the one I have.

The US one only has solo's of Formulas on it.

Description says that it is the one with pick and LoL. But it'll only have the 26 (no Domination tracks) if anything. Who knows what you'll actually get if you order it. Then again, if you get something that doesn't match the description Amazon will give you a refund and pay for return shipping.

The pick is pretty cool, but it looks really different from the "Chewing Inc." picks I have seen him actually use, color-wise. I believe it's the same thickness as the 1.14mm Tortex picks that he's played in the past.

Yeah but the Limited edition is not pictured. That one looked different with the sticker on the shrinkwrap.

Also it says it is one CD.

Only in the Editorial the LOL and pick are mentioned. Not in the product description.

Neither photo are of the actual product, just stock images of the cover art (which is the same on both).

The Editorial isn't like the Reviews section -- it's Amazon generated and labeled "Product Description" below "Editorial". I am certain this is the version with LoL and the pick.

Well I ordered it yesterday, but i am still not sure. On ebay UK the image of the limited is the correct one but those are out of stock and only avaliable used from associated sellers.

It is nice for the collection to have both the euro and us edition. Lets hope the pick is there this time around.

I've been fucked by Amazon that way a couple of times. When you go to the return process on the site, just pick "item was not as described" or something like that. They should provide a return mailing label and give you a full refund. Never had a problem doing this.

We are in the process of mixing but as the enineering/mix is the final project of the study of one of our forum members. He has to do other things for his study as well, so it will take a while to get finished. As soon as that's done, we'll see how we expose it to the world.
