i think the bass is nicely audible on this one! especially if you compare it too previous records, excluding F&F that has too much bass and drums and too little guitars.

imo Phoenix has the best balance so far.

Ok so I caved in to the temptation and got the leak, and listened to it on the way home, sweet FUCK this is awesome. Loved several tracks on the very first listen. Everything sounds top notch, vocals, musicianship, production... definitely a huge improvement. If this grows on me as much as I think it will, I think this will redeem anything MA puts out.

Where can I get the digipack with a sample of Erik's poo?

I pre-ordered and all I saw was a simple normal version -- no special deluxe hoobajooba versions.

first I thought it was a promo because it was at the merch table before it's actual release date, with foil around it and the digipack is pretty thin as well, but that wouldn't have made sense.

So far, it isn't doing much for me--too monotonous and noisy. "The Art of Redemption" has some cool parts, but most of the other songs just aren't very memorable. Maybe it will grow on me; either that or I've just lost my taste for relentless, non-melodic brutality.

haha I think this is their most melodig stuff by far. Granted, HE melodic that is.

I think it is awesome.

Yeah this is probably their most melodic album by HE's standards. Can't stop listening to it, wasn't the same case with the previous record for me.

It has slight elements of all the first 3 but it definitely sounds fresh, nothing sounds recycled, really great songs and you can HEAR everything.

This album blows. The production is simply amazing! I love everything about it. Best since I, Monarch and definatly one of their best records so far!
