Is there a Morbid Angel song...

...where the lyrical subject is Metroid? I heard this a while ago and have never been able to figure out which song it was, if this is true. I know Trey likes good video games, so I thought it might be a possibility.

wow metroid. my favourite game franchise. I'd love to know what song that was. strange also because i've never heard trey mention metroid. Only quake 3 arena., world of warcraft etc. some of his thanks lists in some albums mention street fighter and mortal kombat characters.

never heard of that. you may be thinking of castlevania, which to my knowledge has nothing to do with any of their music, but was mentioned in trey's portion of the liner notes on covenant.

Morbid Angel should do an album dedicated to metal remixes of video game songs.







Or, better yet, Trey should have an instrumental side project devoted to that.



I would fucking LOVE to hear his take on tracks like Flock Off! from DMC1, and the Doom songs as well.

most of the original doom songs were themselves unattributed 'covers' of a variety of different metal songs
