Illud: the METALIRELAND review

Post by Metalireland »

Hi guys, whats up.

So 'Illud Divinum Insanus' is here and it's divisive as hell. I wanted to like it: I'm an age old fan. I genuinely tried. We all know it has three good tracks and a bunch of nonsense as the rest.

I thought I'd better get some help to review it.

Instead of just one, Metalireland is now running three reviews, each from writers who wanted to like it.

I'll let you be the judge. But if anyone can seriously explain 'Radikult' to me, I owe you my fandom.

Different people interpret music is different ways, so people have different views on it.

Its not important all the MA can like or dislike a particular song.

So according to me, judgment of music is not correct. You can only judge it for YOURSELF.

Review it on its own merit how it comes across to you, duder.

[edit] FUCKING OUCH again! I have read ZERO positive reviews now. Some are just not quite as fruital, but these last couple of reviews are really articulating what I am hearing and reading other fans talk about. I have to wonder, if they even care, what Trey and Dave are thinking, also Thor and Tim, reading these kind of reviews. Blades seem to keep getting the most prop's and it is not even written by Trey or David. Come on June 7th, it is time to hear this fucker in its entirety. I keep feeling like a slow band-aid being pulled off and just want to yank it damn it.
Fuck 'em
