Having heard it now, the only songs that bother me are Radikult and I Am Morbid.

I'm not a fan of the techno stuff, but at least in that case...I don't doubt Trey's sincerity when he says he was trying to make something EXTREME, to him. OK, Destructos misses the mark, add that to the list of stuff that bugs me. But at least Trey, in his deluded mind, thought hew was doing something new and special. What was Evil D. trying to innovate with Was Morbid and Radikult (making the assumption that he wrote Morbid)? One is basically what he did in Genitorturers, the other is generic bullshit. Ugh.

Don't get me wrong...while those are the only ones that BUG me, I don't like the rest, either.

i think also that trey has confused the definition of "dull" with that of "extreme." if this album was called gillud divinum insanus and came out in 2000, maybe the "fusing" of techno-ish elements with death metal would have made more sense and been more of a "woah"-type moment. since it had kind of-sort of been done but not really; certainly not by any band as popular as morbid angel.

in 2011, though, it just sounds stale, predictable, boring. and, given that this is the first new music under the MA banner since 2003, really quite disappointing.

Dominations vocals were only just about tolerable for me but these are way too loud and hurt the music completely., and because of the lyrics it just sound empty and commercial...meaningless. It wouldn't have hurt to turn the guitars up either

I liked the 90 second samples of almost all of it and listened to them countless times. Now that I'm listening to the entire album, my brain is adjusting I and not digging it as much as I previously did (hearing new parts for the 1st time I suppose). Still cant give it a final verdict until multiple listens and allow it to sink in of the course of a few weeks.
