Well considering they've had PSX Doom music playing as interludes and his affection for the game, it seems likely to me.
I know it was my first exposure to gabba, closely followed by the original Ridge Racer.

I've seen a video of it on YouTube, it's apparently impossible to complete without using cheats. There are multiple final boss guys running around everywhere

parts on TOO EXTREME and the nutty section of mea culpa are totally in the style of the "secret level" on playstation DOOM called "Club Doom"......
I guess this exposes some of my nerddom....but you cant beat a fifth of whiskey and DOOM mayhem till 6am!
