Definitely Morbid Angel, but I'm eager to see what Nile can muster up on their next album. I actually didn't like Those Whom The Gods Detest. I thought the songs sounded like rip offs from their past songs most of the time. I also wasn't much a fan of the song writing too. Most songs had Dallas shouting his head off at the end. Some of the songs were their most boring in my opinion too. 4th arra of dagon sounds like Sarcophagus and Eat of the dead but drags on for 8 minutes. Not cool ! .



Karl has said in an interview that he felt TWTGD was 'definitive' Nile album. Like a encapsulation of the best things they've done and put it into one album. This kind of approach to an album really doesn't sit well with me. Luckily though he said they want to do some radically different shit for the next record. I'd love for them to concentrate on the exotic part of their sound and run away with it. Still keep it fruital though. But for gods sake Nile do it tastefully this time

I like a lot of death metal but yeah, morbid angel probably gets the most listens.

If not for Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal, I would agree with Cryptopsy on None So Vile alone. That album just fucking annihilates.

Without genres Morbid Angel is definitely my all time favorite band! There isn´t any other band wich can offer that feeling what comes when I´m listening to Altars or Blessed. I can´t even compare MA to other bands. Second one is little bit harder to decide, maybe Atheist, Death or Gorguts.

Morbid Angel is definitely my favourite death metal band, and quite probably my favourite band full stop.



Not sure who'd come next with regards to death metal though. I listen to loads of death metal but some of my favourites are Immolation, Ripping Corpse, Hate Eternal and Mithras.
