Trey and Thor's guitar work and solo's on the new album!
trey and thor did a really great job handling guitars and the leads are just incredible!! Tone, Tightness, Riffs and execution are all great.
does anyone know which leads trey and thor played because of course in nevermore-existo vulgore-beauty meets beast (at the end) are clearly trey. but is it me or does thor play a shitload of leads on this album? is there any more that are trey's that just sound different than what his leads normally sound like?

I thought Trey's leads wern't half as good as efforts on the last few albums. It seems like he just thinks "phrase, faster scale, tap the rest out and hit whammy bar" these days.

It's also easy to tell which one is doing the solos on this record. When Thor solos he hits notes and patterns that sound just like Zyklon, and I've heard a lot of them on this album. So yeah he's done a lot of solos here.

:loco:
The leads were good but they don't touch his past work.

thor's solos suck live, specially those he placed in the old tracks.

To be honest, a lot of Trey's solos have sounded half-hearted to me since 'FFtF'.

IMO the best solos in illud are those from Radikult.

A couple of solos were obvious, but I'm not too sure who did what on a few songs. Can someone clue me in?

Then did Thor and Trey do a fairly equal share of the soloing? There are two or three lava moments, and the rest just sounds like a weak attempt at Eric Rutan's style.
