I guess it's recording line-ups with Anderson and Browning added for popular demand

The true classical Morbid Angel line up is Azagthoth - Vincent - Sandoval - Brunelle

Trey Tucker and Pete is the best one, having Rutan in it makes it just as awesome but without him I still feel it's the best

The line-ups are not bias enough for the time periods. In other words, '96 and earlier Vincent is a win. Tucker from FFF and on (FFF being my fav wth Tucker) is win as well.

So I'd say: Azagthoth, Sandoval, Rutan, Vincent

And: Azagthoth, Sandoval, Rutan, Tucker

If someone doesn't know yet, Altars and Blessed includes the best music ever made IMO. So my vote goes to:

Azagthoth - Vincent - Sandoval - Brunelle

Azagthoth - Tucker - Sandoval - Rutan

Even though Formulas is my favourite record, I'd still pick this because I feel Rutan brought so much to the band. His solo style was completely different to Trey's and yet complemented it perfectly.

Tucker or Anderson, with Pete, Trey and Erik.

I voted that Lummo's sig is correct. If I could vote two, it would be also Azagthoth - Vincent - Sandoval - Brunelle.

This is interesting, because my two favorite albums are Covenant and FFttF, which are Azagthoth - Vincent - Sandoval and Azagthoth - Tucker - Sandoval, respectively. Brunelle and Rutan were the best second guitarists. I wonder what an Anderson album would have sounded like :eyes:

For me it's this one - Azagthoth - Vincent - Sandoval

They are all the longest time in Morbid Angel / they are the most energy radiating / the most carismatic / the most unique (in interviews, in visuals, in mastery of their instrument) / they are the oldest and that makes them even extremer / they all have awesome gift for songwriting / they are the most inspiring to me!!!

HAIL TO THIS HOLY TRINITY!!!

The front cover for the new Nevermore EP, shows a great crazy vision of The Three Insane Gods :redneck:

And that old flag of them from the Covenant era is energizing too!

But otherwise I admire and respect every Morbid Angel member that there ever was!

It's really extreme to play such extreme music at their age. Most of people that play these extreme styles are a lot younger and that makes it a bit easier compared to this trinity. :redneck:

There are a lot of oldies around now. :redneck: I for one am happy that playing the more fruital musical styles has stopped being for youngsters only. There are plenty of bands with members well over fourty years of age who are still respectable.

I sincerely respect bands who have been fighting for survival for decades without ever making it big time. Immolation a.o comes to mind.
