Their responses are funny, but it's not like he messed up the solo--everything he plays sounds intentional. Ritchie Blackmore used to toss in weird song references in the beginning of songs or during his solos, so it's not unheard of.

I thought it was funny how he kept trying to hold back and stay barely tasteful for most of the song, and then he finally goes "fuck it" and shreds for a minute.
