it's neat enough to see rutan being metal and stuff but i don't understand why they don't just put the money that went into the video into another tour or some new equipment or something. and that goes for all musicians that don't make enough from the band to live

Usually these kind of videos are all for the promotion of the album and the band. Surely Metal Blade has given Hate Eternal support for making this. I agree that equipment and perhaps a tour could be a wiser decision, but the video isn't just made for fun.

no i understand that, i'm just saying if it was my band and metal blade said "we want to make a video, but the budget will really only allow us to tape you guys standing around playing the song and being metal" i would say "how about you just give us that money for another couple months' worth of shows instead pretty please"
