Name some "clone" bands that manage to outdo the band(s) they take after.

Intestine Baalism (take after Dismember, Swedish bands etc) do that sound way better than their predecessors.

I wouldn't say improve, but impaled and decrepit birth do a great job of carrying the torches passed by carcass and death.
