ANYWAYS, after the two local openers, doom / drone band Megaton Leviathan was to go on stage but couldn't get their equipment to work properly, which was all digital and they apparently had programmed drums which would not work. after fucking around for an hour they gave up and tore down their gear.
About 15 minutes later Wolves hit the stage and tore into an explosive set. they had analog gear so they didn't have any sound problems. they played about 4-5 songs when suddenly there was a small explosion in the ceiling above the crowd that caused the ceiling tiles and a fucking fan to fall onto quite a few people below. the band still played even though the explosion had killed the pa system and what you could hear was coming through the amps. the main vocalist/guitarist was the first to notice and stop playing but his other band mates were so into it that they kept going for a good half a minute. the fan continued to emit sparks as it dangled from the ceiling only a couple of feet above the ground. in as far as I know nobody was hurt but the show did come to an abrupt halt.
amazingly people didn't flee the venue but many went straight to the merch table in the back, bought shit and left.
