Vocalist Chris Barnes of Florida-based death metallers SIX FEET UNDER is featured in a commercial for Park Auto Mall, a late-model used-car dealer located in the Pinellas Park, Florida area of Tampa Bay. Barnes apparently bought his 2003 Porsche Boxster S vehicle in August 2011 at the dealership, which claims to "always have a large selection of used cars, trucks and SUVs."
According to TBNweekly.com, Park Auto Mall is one of several dealerships that will be featured in an episode of a new cable reality show, which is slated to air in prime time in 2012. It will center on an expert who helps auto dealerships make improvements that will increase sales, in the vein of Spike TV's "Bar Rescue" and Bravo's "Tabitha's Salon Takeover". The trainer will observe the dealership and its staff, make recommendations and train personnel.
Park Auto Mall recently made headlines after its staff accepted a horse as a down payment in a vehicle sale.
