on a related note: the local and best venue here closed after the owner forgot to pay his taxes (which is a shame because he had dropped half a million on renovations of the place which included one of the best sound systems in a club i had ever seen/heard). hopefully someone buys it and reopens it.

The city from which I moved had a good venue that was getting better all of the time. The owner ran a number of local businesses in the downtown area, and busted his ass putting together a decent place.
