This *is* crap, and I hope the rest of the EP will be much better. If anything, I appreciate DSO for their experiments, lyrics, and not giving a fuck and creating cool *and* evil music. This was probably made by their sound engineer somewhere in Los Angeles on vacation and having a good metaphysical laugh.

Well, you failed to take the whole text into account. Extracting one sentence from it and judging it alone it pretty retarded by itself. The band (or the DSO collective) hereby claims the source of "Si Monumentum" is not only within themselves, but also from some other source(s). Taking this into context with their lyrics on that album, we can conclude that other source is (the manifestation of) the Devil himself. But of course, they won't put it that way as it sounds somewhat lame. Also, their misanthropy is somewhat shy. They won't claim they're misanthropic as that sounds somewhat lame also. What really is retarded here is the pure egocentric claim that they're better than most humans. Well, this new record, or what I've heard of it dethrones them on that matter pretty easily.

I dont know about technicalities, but one think i know mathcore is way too much lifeless compared to this.

This one track is not as good as my favorite Paracletus, but yes its no way mathcore
