The Gathering - We Just Stop Breathing



For 6 years now since first hearing that song, I still get blown away by it. Especially while hearing the Souvenirs album in it's entirety, following up after the title track. Everytime listening to said album, I get shivers and chills, and it hit's my emotions like a freight train. Especially when the beat stops and goes into an ambient trance. The haunting vocals and lyrics of Anneke during this part also doesn't help it's cause and further brings me to it's melancholy. This is why it's my all-time favourite song, period. No contest for me.
