The Lodge and The Blackcoats Daughter are two horror movies that take place over Christmas but aren’t centered around it. They are both creepy, wonderful movies filled with palpable dread.

Blackcoats daughter is on Netflix and the lodge is on prime. Think the house of the Devil type slow burn but in winter. They are both

The Blackcoats Daughter takes place in February not over Christmas. Which I knew but forgot. Derp. Still definitely worth a watch.

For me it was Elf and Harold and Kumar Christmas. It was kinda lame in the movie department but it's cool that I got to spend time with family and see kids open presents. The looks on their faces were the best thing that happened all years.
