to change your display name on youtube without changing your display name in gmail

not that I'm aware of. years ago I had to delete my youtube account and make a new one because gmail kept using my youtube name in gmail.

nope, ran into this myself awhile back. if you want to upload to youtube without your real name your best bet is to just make another google account, it's what i did.

yeah it's actually not too bad, you can stay signed in on both accounts. there's a button in the youtube menu to switch accounts
