Re: it is what it is
it depends on how you define good. but like most things with bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea it is entertaining if nothing else, because he is a huge dumbass
i guess herr swan or his bosses no longer think bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea is important enough to keep in his good graces. i seem to recall he did a very flattering interview for axios a couple of years ago on some high-stakes immigration maneuver

Luke, calm down, relax. It's just one of many news and opinion websites.

axios is a shitty news site started by a bunch of former politico bigwigs. their format is that everything is reported and explained strictly in bullet points and takes less than a minute to read. the video interviews are part of their affiliated HBO show

granted i dont watch the news or keep up with politics, but ive never heard anything positive said about t.rump. seems like since the last election there has just been a constant stream of complaining about him and mocking him - in the media, youtube, and any time time i hear him mentioned in real life. how the hell did he get elected?

I fall into the demographic they are targeting - I guess. I’ve always found politico to be far superior, especially as of late. Axios is garbage.

Re: it is what it is
The reason he got elected was because despite what you see on television and online news, or the preferences of the people you speak with, Trump has a strong voter base. Just because you never hear anything positive, or are bombarded with anti-Trump opinion/coverage doesn't mean that's the reality on the ground.Verbal wrote: ↑07 Aug 2020, 04:17granted i dont watch the news or keep up with politics, but ive never heard anything positive said about t.rump. seems like since the last election there has just been a constant stream of complaining about him and mocking him - in the media, youtube, and any time time i hear him mentioned in real life. how the hell did he get elected?
Another example is if you google "China" and take a look at the results on the news section, the vast majority of search results are going to link to negative headlines or criticisms pertaining to China. That's because certain media outlets dominate or monopolize the production of opinions, and they are all anti-China, therefore that's what you will get. However, the reality is that most Chinese themselves, and most people in the world, look upon China favorably despite the prevailing assessment in Western Media.
You have to be able to sift through the bullshit and be very skeptical to attain an objective view about somethings.

electoral college, baby. you don't need a majority to get elected, it's all about winning key statesVerbal wrote: ↑07 Aug 2020, 04:17granted i dont watch the news or keep up with politics, but ive never heard anything positive said about t.rump. seems like since the last election there has just been a constant stream of complaining about him and mocking him - in the media, youtube, and any time time i hear him mentioned in real life. how the hell did he get elected?

Re: it is what it is
to be fair though bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea brings a lot of it upon himself.
I mean - it's not like he's being mocked for wearing a tan suit, or eating arugula, or putting Dijon mustard on a burger (those were all things the right-wing media fucking lost their minds over with Obama - it was ridiculous then, even more so now). let's not even forget Obama's waste of time spent golfing that the right also obsessed over (which I just had to look up: as of memorial day this year bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea has played 266 rounds since taking office - Obama was at 98 rounds by this point in his presidency...)
every ounce of criticism has been earned by bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea - and they are legitimate criticisms of his leadership, policy, international relations, and morals.
