Any of you grumpy old men have any rotator cuff tears or problems yet?
For about a month my right shoulder has been sore as shit, ecspecially after the sleeping on it. All signs pointed to some kind of tear which sucks because surgery would be the only way to fix this. The past 2 days though the pain has lifted a lot and i'm getting more mobility in my arm so hopefully whatever it was is starting to heal up now
Glad it’s healing repetitive motion injuries are part of aging in the modern world.
Ive torn a rib muscle and messed up my left foot (mid-foot sprain) both no fun and dont wish on others who you know have to work to live. Never messed up the shoulder but coworkers have.
I had something similar about five years ago from operating a forklift with little to no power steering for an entire shift. I think it took about a month to get better in my case. Sleeping was a big problem for me too, and about once per night I would roll over and a very loud cracking sound would come from that area. Not fun. I'm still not sure if I tore it to any degree, but it's fine now.
There was one instance when i thought this was the case but after having it checked, it was determined to be a really bad sprain and the recommendation was to just do some specific stretching exercise on said area and just bear with the pain. It was gone after like two weeks or so.

Yep, i got the cracking too, though it hasnt happened in a few days. It seemed like the crack was in a tendon below the shoulder
