It's pretty shitty tbh. Fenriz and Varg are the main focalpoints of the interviews, and while they were interesting, it seemed like they just took a bunch of random shit and interspersed it between them. There's footage of Fenriz checking out some art gallery, Harmony Korine dancing to some black metal, and Fenriz going to the store to get beer and then vinyls.

the important thing to keep in mind here is that kids was fucking terrible, and this harmony fellow was involved with it, ergo he too must also be terrible.

I thought the movie was decent. It's very artsy, which can be both good and bad, but at least it's nice to look at. If for nothing else, it gives you a decent look at what some of the founding fathers of black metal think, especially Fenriz and Varg. Oddly enough, Varg sounds extremely sane in the rather large number of interview segments.

The extras, however, will play everywhere. So if you are in Germany or Australia and picked up the DVD, you can now see the rest of the special features that are on the North American version. If you only want to see SOME of the extras and don't want to pay for all of them, you can do that too. It requires only a paypal or amazon account.



We know that some people still want to buy the DVD to have in their collection. You'll still be able to. We're working on making an EXTREMELY limited edition, PAL, zone free Double DVD. The artwork on that is nearly done, we'll be manufacturing it shortly and taking orders.

Agreed except for the part about either of them being interesting. Fenriz is a sixteen year-old. Varg is just bleh. The gallery scene at the very end–I forget who it was cutting himself–was the only "METAL" part of the entire movie. The rest of it was shit people even vaguely aware of black metal history already knew.



I give it a meh out of 10. However I and a fellating lover of mine were drinking a good bit while watching so we did more hearty laughing at than anything else.
