Can you eat the spicy peppers and go on about your next day as if there isnt a flame thrower shooting out of your ass?

Jalapeños tear me up
It doesn't take much, and the next day my stomach and asshole are in flames. I don't see how some people can eat this or even hotter peppers and it doesn't effect them at all

some people enjoy the flamethrower out of their ass
I do like spicy food a lot, but it needs to be tasty, not just extremely hot. So balance is key.
I prefer jalapeños and habaneros to be pickled or sliced thinly when fresh, but really depends on the dish or snack.

Hot to be hot is not my jams.
If you can add spice or heat to a dish and it works I'm in.

i don't really do much in terms of hot peppers, but jalapenos are pretty easygoing for me. i mostly do sauces for heat, i discovered this one earlier in the year and it's fucking amazing

Re: Jalapeños tear me up
I love chilies. My dad and I love habaneros and scotch bonnets i cook more with poblanos and jalapenos since my brother and mom cant handle much spice. I do a lot if toasted jalapenos, bell peppers, and poblanos because its a healthy way to add a ton of flavor to bland food like tice and beans.
I can tell you from experience if interested most people can slowly build their spice tolerance. It is not a pleasant experience getting there nor does anyone have to do it. If you don’t enjoy something don’t eat it.

Only time spicy food really affects me is if it’s incredibly oily / greasy. Otherwise if it’s just hot I might feel it on my tongue and sweat a little but feel fine later. I can eat raw jalapeños no problem.

From my observations, it is a cultural thing. It's either you were raised on a diet where spicy food is the norm or not.
Locally-grown labuyo chillies served fresh, diced or whole, are a staple of the savageland diet so yeah. Commercially-bottled hot sauce is an entirely different thing though and I'm not a big fan of those.

Yeah shadow I’m sure you would beat everyone on this forum in a spicy food eating contest.
Had pretty good success growing my own assortment this year:
Brazilian Little Beak peppers (Pimento Biquinho)
Brazilian Starfish peppers
Thai Birds Eye peppers
Jalapeño peppers
Cayenne peppers
