The polls

Post by Grudge »

Many polls are showing that the T Party (no, not the Tea Party, the Donnie T Party) is in disfavor. People are generally not happy about the state of the economy. In Texas as well, it's quite a fight for Paxton and Abbott's futures.

But, the polls have been wrong on T before.

So, I ask you, the common men and women who are the true representatives of American public opinion, what your perspective is. What's the pulse of the situation?

nothing surprises me anymore, half expect the republicans to win midterms. i don't know what else it would take to convince people that bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea in not on their side, he was kind of prophetic when he said "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"

People reelected this fucktard after he bumbled the covid response and tanked the economy once.

I fully expect no lessons were learned even if things are worse now with the war, mass surveillance and ICE brutality. Already seeing clips of knucklehead farmers complaining about going out of business saying they'd still vote for him again, even as they're reaping what they sowed and getting undercutted by bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea's deregulation and pulling of their subsidies.

Maybe the swing vote would sway things but people are increasingly using AI to guide all their decision making, and we all know what's likely going to encourage. Whatever candidates are least likely to hurt their business.

given that we've abandoned every legitimizing pretense of empire and now openly brag about controlling global politics for the benefit of american oligarchs, i'm not entirely confident the pretenses of democracy at home have much gas left in the tank. the military leadership has been purged of everyone but loyalists, most of the federal security services too, and it's not hard to guess which side the majority of the vice squad fall on. they've got all the guns, the will to use them, and enemies and subversives lying in wait around every corner. why should they have to care what an election has to say, after all?

but who knows, maybe they're all too birdbrained and addled by surrounding themselves with sycophants and melting their brains with LLMs to actually pull it off

i don't think it's especially high odds that we see an overt coup. you kind of don't even need to anyway, because the democrats will happily institutionalize all of bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea's policies given the chance. they don't oppose the war in iran, or anything he's doing, their problem is just that it's all being run by boorish idiots. democrats just want a slick salesman like obama to convince them that supporting the savvy war criminals (who are really very enlightened; they'll let the gays in on the action) is social progress. it's not so heinous when it's the self-appointed smartest guys in the room are doing it

we've seen this all before

I doubt him becoming President again wasn't rigged let alone anything going forward.

It has been interesting to witness how easily influenced people are by actual serious hatred and ignorance while the really influential power players among it have shown their cards for all to see. Just full steam ahead. Where does it end? Spreading like a sickness and overriding rationality. People who just want peace becoming targets. It's bullshit.

And this album is cool

He warned us about becoming microchip slaves. We should have listened.

If only I was born with an extra chromosome, I would be smarter.

I'm closing in on 300 hours of Nile this year, maybe that will suffice? Need a bit of Queen here and there.
